Drive Safe Members and Potential Members,
Thank you for your interest in the Drive Safe Hampton Roads (DSHR) organization. Our organization consists of concerned citizens representing many public and private entities, all with the purpose of promoting transportation safety to prevent crashes on our streets and roadways throughout the Hampton Roads area. We are reminded, it seems, on a daily basis, why our work and efforts are necessary and that our work is far from done. Frequently, we hear of tragedies on our roadways involving distracted and impaired driving, reckless behavior to include not wearing seat belts, and incidents involving pedestrians and vehicles. Unfortunately, many of the occurrences could have been avoided had safe driving practices and training been used.
To those who have and continue to serve on our many committees, I say Thank You for your time and commitment. To our first-time viewers and interested parties, thank you for visiting our website. Hopefully, you have found the information informative and will do your part to assist Drive Safe Hampton Roads in promoting traffic safety. If you are interested in becoming an active member of Drive Safe Hampton Roads, let us know of your interest and in what manner you would like to serve. We have several opportunities awaiting!
