Every state in the United States has implemented “Move Over” laws to safeguard law enforcement officers and other first responders who are stationed on the country’s roads. However, a significant number of drivers remain uninformed about these laws, leading to an ongoing prevalence of traffic-related incidents. Tragically, these incidents persist as the leading cause of death for on-duty law enforcement officers.

What You Need To Do:

When a vehicle with flashing lights is stopped on or next to a roadway, drivers should either switch to a lane that is not directly next to the vehicle or reduce their speed to a safe level if changing lanes is not possible.
