Catherine Booth Wilson
Kate passed away September 12, 2022 at the age of 62. She was employed by AAA Tidewater Virginia as Traffic Safety Manager and has been a long-time member and supporter of Drive Safe Hampton Roads.
In 2006, Kate was voted as DSHR's Vice President, before leading the organization as President in 2007. In 2019, she was called upon again to serve as Vice President, rising to serve for 2 years as President during the COVID pandemic. Kate was just recently voted onto the DSHR Board of Directors. In 2011, Kate was awarded the John T. Hanna Award for Excellence in the Category: Youth Traffic Safety.
For many years, Kate has been a proud and enduring supporter of Drive Safe Hampton Roads, always displaying a willingness to step up and fill many shoes and wear many hats. We have all spent many a moment stuffing bags, moving car seats, checking seat belts, and handing out goodies alongside Kate and know that we at Drive Safe Hampton Roads will miss her dearly.
