Hampton Roads, VA – June 26, 2026:  Drive Safe Hampton Roads is proud to unveil the new leadership team for 2026-27, composed of dedicated professionals and community advocates committed to advancing traffic safety throughout the Hampton Roads region. The incoming board brings together a wealth of experience in transportation, public health, education, and law enforcement, ensuring a well-rounded approach to the coalition’s ongoing initiatives.

These individuals will guide Drive Safe Hampton Roads as they continue the mission to foster safer driving behaviors and continue the long history of making roadways in Hampton Roads safer for all users. Their collective vision is to build upon the successes of previous years, introducing innovative programs and outreach campaigns tailored to the unique needs of our region.

The 2026-27 Board of Directors and all the volunteers will focus on strategic priorities such as seat belt and child safety seat use, impaired driving prevention, motor carrier safety, teen driver safety, distracted driving, speed reduction, and pedestrian/bicycle safety. Through collaborative efforts, education and advocacy, the Board will lead Drive Safe Hampton Roads to make measurable progress toward safer roads and healthier communities.
