It’s Time to Recycle Old, Used, Borrowed and Abused Child Safety Seats

It’s spring cleaning time! Time to recycle those old child safety seats at one of the several free community recycling events!

Drive Safe Hampton Roads asks that you please help us share the message of getting old potentially dangerous child safety seats out of circulation and landfills by dropping them off at one of the locations.

February Is Round-Up Time Again!

Old, Used, Borrowed, and Abused Child Safety Seat Round-Up serves to educate parents and caregivers about the possible dangers of using car seats that are over eight years old, have been purchased from a thrift store or yard sale, have parts missing, or have no traceable recall information. For these reasons, we urge people to round up their old safety seats and turn them in for a reward throughout February.

To help keep our young children as safe as possible, Drive Safe Hampton Roads has partnered with Walmart, AAA Tidewater Virginia, Hoffman Beverage, Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters, Huffman & Huffman, and Waste Management of Virginia, Inc. to conduct the OLD, USED, BORROWED AND ABUSED CHILD SAFETY SEAT ROUND-UP
